Currency Exchange

International currency exchange is undergoing a revolution not unlike that seen when the non-bank lenders first came into the mortgage market. Now you finally have the ability to exchange large (and small) sums of money without paying an exhorbitant price for doing so. Sure, the 'fees' are often quoted as being 'nil', but all too often, there is a cost hidden within the exchange rate.

Indeed, on a recent International trip we saw one major travel company working a 15% difference between its buying and selling price Euro-Sterling - that's 7.5% of your money being secreted away each time you exchange. To make it worse, this travel company was advertising 'zero commission' and 'best rates' all around the exchange centre - we don't know how they get away with it.

Anyway, that's all changing, and you don't have to take our word for it. One quick look at the press links on the moneycorp website or on the Foreign Currencies Direct media pages and you'll see a reference to many newspaper articles on the subject. It isn't quite as straightforward as walking into your bank or travel agency, but once you have set up an account, everything can be handled electronically.
